Marlies Family Day Fun!

Updated: February 23, 2010

Hundreds of Credit Valley players, family and friends enjoyed our first association day with the Marlies on Family Day. Families enjoyed a skate at the Ricoh Centre prior to the game. All in attendance were then treated to an exciting game between the Marlies and Abbottsford Heat.

The Wolf Cubs participated in pre-game ceremonies and the Rogers Future Stars race. The hi-5 tunnel and the Cubs special seats in the Rogers Red Zone with appearances by Duke the Dog were a huge hit!

St. Michael's Majors vs. Niagara Ice Dogs Association Night Friday November 20th, 2009

761 Credit Valley players, families and friends attended the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors game, and enjoyed an action packed 3 to 0 win for our Majors over the Dogs.

The pregame was long when the glass at penalty box was broken in the warm-up, then the microphone cut out during the national anthem and the crowd sang the national anthem without the rink sound system.

Congratulations to Mark Trudel's Minor Peewee Red Team 61, who sold the most tickets (37) to win the pre-game ice.

The Wolf Cubs sold 504 tickets and also boasted all the top individual ticket sales winners with:

  • Owen Bedford: 60 tickets
    • (autographed jersey & pregame National Anthem skater)
  • Mateo Lopes: 40 tickets
    • (autographed jersey & pregame Major's flag skater)
  • Adam Law: 31 tickets
    • (autographed hockey stick & pregame Major's flag skater)
  • Dakota Sullivan: 23 tickets
    • (autographed hockey stick)
  • 20 Wolf Cub players with 10 or more tickets sold participated in the Timbit 2nd intermission minigame.

The attendance by Credit Valley was the highest ever, with one lucky Wolf Cub parent, Jim Sullivan, winning more than $600 in the the 50/50 raffle.

Bread & Honey Parade

Posted on: June 6, 2009

The Bread & Honey parade in Streetsville on Saturday, June 6 was the first association event of the year.

A huge thank you to all volunteers who made our participation possible.

Our Wolf Cubs director Ron Phillips coordinated the event and showed off his flair for fashion.

Our Bantam "A" team was generous enough to give up a Saturday morning to participate in the parade, handing out magnets, water bottles, and pens to the enthusiastic crowd.

Mayor Hazel McCallion was on hand at the end of the parade to greet all participants, which was the perfect end to a great morning!
